Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Ellen Jewett
In her sculptures, Ellen Jewett from Guelph, Ontario, makes fantasy sculptures of animals in magical situations. She completed her post secondary education with a degree in Biological Anthropology and Art Critique from McMaster University. For her, sculpture has always been about “life, biological narratives and cultural statements.” But there has also been an environmental narrative running through her work. Animals are burdened by modern life with the buildings and the baggage we place on their backs. They sink and lean below our strain, or live on and run with it. Overall, Jewett’s works cause us to question our impact. To visit her etsy store, click here.

I am in love with these. I wish I had $300-$500 to spend on a sculpture.
Look at her etsy. I never buy artwork unless I’m in love with it. God. I need to NOT buy them. I must resist.
